About Joanna
I am a UKCP-registered Systemic and Family Psychotherapist working within the NHS with young people and families affected by eating disorders. My work focuses on supporting adolescents, parents, and carers through complex emotional and relational challenges using compassionate, evidence-based, and family-centred approaches.
Alongside my clinical work, I lead the Family Based Treatment (FBT) pathway within my service. This includes contributing to the development and implementation of the pathway, as well as supporting and educating colleagues, trainees, and multidisciplinary teams in working within an FBT approach.
I am passionate about helping families recognise their strengths and supporting young people towards recovery in a safe, collaborative, and non-judgemental therapeutic space. My approach is grounded in systemic thinking, with a strong belief in the importance of relationships, connection, and curiosity in creating meaningful and lasting change.
