About Joanne
With over 20 years’ experience working with children, young people, adults and families, both within the NHS and private practice, I aim to bring a thoughtful and collaborative approach to my work, creating a space where people feel heard, understood and able to make sense of what is happening within themselves and their relationships. I work with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, neurodivergence, parenting challenges and complex family relationships. My practice is informed by systemic and relational thinking and a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and attachment-focused approaches. I am particularly interested in helping families move beyond cycles of anxiety, conflict or avoidance and develop more connected and sustainable ways of relating. Alongside my clinical practice, I am a published author, I have extensive experience in training and supervising therapists and have contributed to professional publications, training films and podcasts. I am also a certified Nutrition & Health Coach with a special interest in ADHD. I am passionate about making therapy accessible, practical and meaningful, while drawing on a depth of clinical experience and professional expertise.
