About Beth

I work together with adults; couples, families and individuals, including young adults. I have worked for over 40 years within the NHS and charitable organisations, in a wide variety of mental health and physical health contexts and teams. I remain employed part-time within the NHS, alongside my small private practice. My current practice bases are in central Bromley and Crystal Palace, where I offer face-to-face sessions only. I provide a warm, thoughtful and collaborative space where everyone’s voice is valued. My practice is grounded in systemic thinking and approaches, recognising that we are always in relation to others. Our relationships are very important to our well-being and the meaning in our lives. An understanding of our personal histories, past relationships, and the wider social and cultural contexts can lead towards insight, acceptance and changes. I offer an opportunity to explore significant relationships, either as an individual, or together as partners, or family members. Together, we can explore your strengths and stories of resilience, possible patterns or factors that may be keeping you and some relationships feeling stuck. These collaborative conversations can enable and encourage each person to feel heard and understood, allowing for positive steps and shifts.

Parents & Carers: I have experience offering support and therapeutic work to parents and carers of young adults/adults within a specialist NHS service. We would seek to strengthen your relationships with your adult children. Parenting often brings a range of challenges along the way, which at times can feel overwhelming. We can together seek to better understand each other, developing approaches that support connection, communication and well-being of all the family. I bring a compassionate and non-judgemental curiosity to my therapeutic work. It is under-pinned by a trauma-informed approach that recognises the need for psychological safety in the therapeutic encounter. I have a belief and hope that through our telling some of the stories of our lives and exploring our relationships and interactions, that we can together find a healing therapeutic way forward.
