About Mark

I now work independently as a Highly Specialist Systemic Family Psychotherapist with individuals (including children, adolescents and adults), couples and families. I see clients at home and online. I also provide direct therapeutic support and training to independent fostering agencies that includes direct work with children looked after, and foster carers.

I am an experienced trainer who has delivered workshops for psychotherapists, foster carers, social workers and managers about child and adolescent mental health within statutory and voluntary settings. I was previously a Visiting Lecturer at the Tavistock & Portman Centre from 2016 to 2023.

I have worked within CAMHS providing high risk assessments and direct therapeutic work to children, their carers and families from 2003 until 2025.

I initially started out as a Production Artist within Graphic Design. Since 1990 I have worked in a number of different contexts including Addiction services, Residential care, Youth services, Schools, the NHS (tier 2, 3 and 4), Social Care including children in need or needing safeguarding, within Family Centres, Fostering, Adoption, Kinship care and more recently with Looked after Children.
