About Eoin

I qualified as a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist in 2009 at The Institute of Psychiatry, Kings College London (KCL). Additionally, I qualified as a Systemic Supervisor in 2019, enabling me to provide high quality systemic supervision to Family & Systemic Psychotherapists, Trainees and teams.

Qualifying as a Mental Health Nurse in 1998 at The Nightingale Institute, KCL. I was a registered RMN for over 20 years (1998-2018) with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC).

I have amassed 30 years of clinical and managerial experience across diverse clinical settings, primarily in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), in tier-4 general in-patient and forensic in-patient services. In outpatient CAMHS I have worked in tier-3 community services and tier-4 feeding and eating disorders services, and multidimensional treatment foster care.

My professional journey has taken me to esteemed institutions such as South London & Maudsley (SLaM), Great Ormond Street (GOSH), and Greater Glasgow & Clyde (GGC) CAMHS in the vibrant city of Glasgow.

I served as a member of AFT-Scotland, holding the post of treasurer for six years until June 2020. During my tenure, I had the honour of being involved in organising the National AFT Conference in Dunblane in 2017.

My therapeutic work spans individuals, families, couples, groups, and multifamily groups.

I have contributed to the development of care pathways for specialist inpatient and outpatient Tier 4 CAMHS services, including the establishment of the Maudsley Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) for Eating Disorders.

My experience extends to providing training to professional groups on issues related to inpatient and outpatient care. Furthermore, I have delivered lectures, training, and consultancy to various professionals, and had the privilege of presenting at both national and international conferences on treatment and service development in Glasgow, London and Oslo.

I am deeply passionate about the benefits of family and systemic psychotherapy for individuals, families, parents and young people, as well as for clinicians and teams.
