About Caro

I am a compassionate and collaborative Family and Systemic Psychotherapist and Systemic Supervisor with 30yrs experience in the NHS. The majority of my career has been within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services working as a Family Therapist clinically, and as a clinical supervisor and manager as well as Deputy Clinical Lead of an Eating Disorders Service.

I now thoroughly enjoy working in independent practice to offer therapy and clinical supervision. I work with whole families, parents, siblings, individuals and people in relationships. I work with people across the age range according to my systemic training. I see 'family' as whoever you denote to be family for you. I work in person in Oxford, Bristol and Wantage, as well as online.

My focus is on supporting family members and people in relationships to talk together in ways that allow a better understanding and support for each other.

As an experienced therapist I tailor my input to you and your family members needs. I bring a holistic approach attending to mind-body connections, attachment, spiritual and cultural aspects in a trauma informed way. My work is based around your goals and builds on your skills, strengths and resources. I offer a safe, calm and containing space outside of the usual constraints of life to dedicate to yourselves with the hope of bringing about wanted change.

I work from a neuro-divergence affirmative stance and offer reasonable adjustments according to your needs and requests.

I have training in couples and relationship work and have experience in working with people across diverse gender, sexuality and relationship structures.

I offer individual work where we can explore the relationship you have with yourself and with others in your life, taking into consideration the multiple contexts and identities you hold, to find the best lived experience for yourself in line with your values and authentic self.

I trained as a Systemic Supervisor at Exeter Uni in 2016 and I offer online clinical systemic supervision for trainees or trained clinicians interested in reflecting their work through a systemic lens. I also work as a lecturer/trainer in systemic therapy and in CAMHS eating disorders.
