About Elena
I provide a welcoming, safe space to explore personal difficulties, break old habits and navigate life’s transitions, online and outdoors, frequently with animals and nature as co-therapists. I work with a wide range of issues. However, there are some areas in which I have additional experience: relationships - p.e couples, parent-child (adult) -, PTSD, complex trauma, attachment, shame, resentment, grief, anxiety, depression, emotional difficulties, challenging behaviour, neurodiversity, eating disorders, chronic distress, burnout, cultural and social class issues; and intergenerational, transgenerational and moral injury trauma.
I specialise in working with trauma and relationships. I am a certified Systemic Family Psychotherapist and EMDR therapist with a background in nursing, coaching, person-centred counselling, bodywork and craniosacral therapy. I have over 20 years of experience working with people in private, statutory and third-sector services.
I work short- and long-term with individuals, couples, and families, Face-to-Face/walk-and-talk in nature, and Online psychotherapy, in English or Spanish. I offer reflective team practices and training to organisations, and supervision to students. Some clients describe me as "playful, warm, compassionate and straight ‘to the point'". I would love to hear from you if you think I could be of help.
