About Anastassis

A Family & Systemic Psychotherapist and Psychologist currently working in independent practice in London and in Athens, and as part of the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges training NHS clinicians. I have worked in the field on adolescent and adult physical and mental health for more than thirteen years and have contributed to the development of the psychology and psychotherapy community in England.

I have experience providing thoughtful, evidence-informed interventions working with individuals, couples and families struggling with complex and enduring presentations. I have a special interest in presentations of embodied distress that often manifest through different symptoms.

I have been research-active since 2018 and currently working towards my doctorate focusing on birth-registered females' experience of embodiment related to gender transition and detransition.

I’m a member of the AFT, the BPS and UKCP. I have held senior clinical, supervisory and training roles in world-renowned London hospitals, such as Kings College Hospital, University College London Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, The Tavistock Centre and Royal Free Hospital
