About Nsimire

I am a highly specialist Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, a supervisor, a consultant and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). As an experienced clinician, I offer systemic psychotherapy treatment, supervision and systemic consultations for a wide range of highly complex emotional and psychological problems including depression, anxiety, challenging behaviour, neurodevelopment conditions as well as trauma and complex trauma. I work with people of any age group, individuals, families, couples, and others who care about each other to help them express and explore difficult thoughts, behaviours and emotions safely, to understand each other’s experiences and views, appreciate each other’s needs, build on strengths and make useful changes in their relationships and their lives. I support families to work together in ways that feel safer, kinder and more hopeful. Furthermore, I am specialised in working with people who have experienced complex and multiple adversities such as asylum seekers, refugees, involuntary displaced people and violence survivors. I incorporate identity informed, trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and complex trauma approaches in my work. Individuals can find Family Therapy helpful, as an opportunity to reflect on important relationships and find ways forward. As a supervisor, I provide support to supervisees and help them reflect on their clinical work, enhance their knowledge and skills in a safe and identity informed way. I also consult to organisations to help them focus on their workforce relationships, teams’ communication patterns and shared values to improve collaboration, manage change and strengthen organisational culture. In addition, I lecture on various systemic and psychology courses at post-graduate level. I believe that issues of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are crucial to good mental health and overall wellbeing. Research shows that Systemic & Family Psychotherapy is useful for children, young people and adults experiencing a very wide range of difficulties and experiences.
