About Amanda

I am a UKCP registered Systemic Psychotherapist and Systemic Supervisor with four decades of experience in mental health systems, I have worked across all age groups within inpatient and outpatient services as well as with the independent sector, both in the UK and abroad. My work across the lifespan, with different configurations of family and social networks. I believe that our mental health sits within relationships, and the systemic family psychotherapy offers opportunities to navigate change that enables positive change in those relationships. I work collaboratively with individuals and families engaging with their own resources, and reflectively with practitioners through supervision to address both the emotional experience of their work but also the relevance of the different positions they hold. In Leadership roles I use a systemic lens to help organisations/services and teams navigating change and develop ways of working. Through training and research supervision I endeavour to support the development of systemic family psychotherapists and systemic family psychotherapy.
