About Kate
September 2026: No availability currently.
Our relationship with our own Self and our relationship with others are so closely related to each other that an issue making its presence felt in one can often have an impact in the other area. Seeing the part and the whole together, and working with the impact of what is happening within a person, between people, and what is going in the world and contexts around them is at the heart of Systemic Psychotherapy.
I am a Family & Systemic Psychotherapist with varied experience of working in both Adult mental health and psychological services and Children & Young People's mental health services (CAMHS) in the NHS.
I am currently undertaking internationally accredited Internal Family Systems (IFS) training, which is a type of psychotherapy that supports people to understand the impact of, heal from, and grow in the aftermath of their distressing and traumatic life-experiences, and to improve their relationship with Self and others.
I have also trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy that provides tools for managing the strong emotions, mental overwhelm, and bodily reactions at times of stress and distress.
I am committed to providing therapy that is hospitable to difference in its many forms including differences in experiences of being minoritized , cultural differences, and neurodiversity. I encourage you to ask me about this as much as my professional training and experience as you discern whether or not I could be a suitable 'fit' of therapist for you.
