About Annette

I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and I can work with a wide range of issues, however I have a special interest working with children and their families/carers and Neurodiversity

I qualified in 2007 and feel I am a very experienced Family and Systemic Psychotherapist. I am now retired from working in the NHS in a CAMHS inpatient hospital as a Systemic Psychotherapist . I have also been a Registered Learning Disability Nurse . Over my career of over 30 years , I have gained a wide range of skills and experience , working in mental health and Learning Disability hospital settings, moving then into the community and then 10 years back into a hospital setting.

I am now working independently in private practice.

I am also a qualified and experienced Systemic Supervisor and have training in Non Violent Resistance (NVR) .

I can work with families and individual family members, sometimes this may be on their own or as a couple or part of a sibling group. People have commented they find my approach calm, down to earth and friendly, and appreciate my ability to really listen and not be judgmental or blaming. I believe strongly in enabling all family members to have a voice and to facilitate communication to suit individual’s needs. I incorporate play, drawing and writing into my practice and feel I am able to put people at ease.
